Blue Bay Suites are located about 2km from the centre of Kolimbari. From Blue bay apartments, the lively and historic Venetian harbour of Chania is only 25 minutes by car or bus. There are traditional villages and secluded spots to explore in the area around Kolymbari and Chania. Buses pass through Blue Bay Suites every 20-30 minutes for Chania (via the coastal villages of Platanias, Agia Marina, Stalos), but you can also hire mountain bikes, mopeds or a car locally.
The local bus will take you to Platanias, a nearby small town, busy in the summer with shops of interest to tourists (arts, crafts and souvenirs), as well as cafes, restaurants, small clothes shops and a supermarket where you can mix and shop with the locals.

Kolymbari
	Description :  Kolymbari (23 km west of Hania) is still relatively unaffected by tourism but not for long anymore. Atmosphere : A quiet small village nestling between the sea and the cliffs.

	Getting there : Frequent bus connections from Chania (Public Bus of Chania)
Restaurants : Several good restaurants either with sea view or inner the village. Shopping : Some shops (small markets and tranditional stores).
	Nightlife : There is excellent night life in Platanias village about 10 min distance or in Chania town 20 min distance!  Beach : A long pebble beach which is being artificially augmented by some shipped in sand.
